Roughly every 13th baby is still born prematurely in Switzerland. Premature births often have dramatic consequences for those involved and costs can spiral very quickly. ETH spin-off Pregnolia AG has developed a method of measurement that is more accurately able to predict the risk of a possible premature birth. Sanitas is the first health insurer in Switzerland to reimburse the cost of the Pregnolia test for customers who have supplementary outpatient insurance (Vital).
The Sanitas Coach app helps users keep an eye on their health with a focus on high blood pressure. App developer Pathmate Technologies creates apps that support the prevention and self-management of chronic illnesses in everyday life. The content is developed and improved upon in close collaboration with medical experts in the respective field. The success of Pathmate’s approach has been proven in numerous scientific studies.
More than two million people in Switzerland have to take medication on a regular basis. Medication not being taken or not being taken correctly is a major driver of costs in the Swiss healthcare industry. The TOM app helps users to keep an overview of their medication and ensure that they take the right dosage at the right time.
Users of the Sanitas Portal can enter their symptoms in the app and receive a suitable recommendation for action immediately. This certified service was developed by Sensely Inc. in collaboration with the renowned Mayo Clinic in the United States and integrated into the Sanitas Portal app.
HelloBetter is an independent provider of digital medical solutions for mental health conditions. Its aim is to empower people to manage their own mental health at any time and improve their quality of life. The effectiveness of the online therapy courses has been proven in numerous clinical trials.
Swiss platform Aepsy finds experienced therapists for psychotherapy and psychological coaching. A matching system is used to suggest suitable psychotherapists for each individual situation. Aepsy’s goal is to ensure that people get the help they need quickly and without judgement.
