Apprenticeship

Customer Dialogue Specialist EFZ (Swiss Federal Certificate)
What you can expect
During your three-year apprenticeship in Zurich, Winterthur, Aarau or Bern, you’ll progress through a varied and interesting training programme. Your basic training will guide you through the world of health insurance and healthcare. You’ll work in different departments, for example on reception or in Marketing or Finance, under the personal supervision of practical trainers and a vocational trainer. You will do varied work on the PC, advise our customers on the phone and take care of their concerns.
If you do very well, you have the opportunity of completing the E-profile (extended basic training) with a vocational “Matura” diploma (M-profile).
What you bring
- Completed secondary school (highest level), district school (Bezirksschule) or 10th grade
- Grade point average of at least 4.5 in maths, German, French and English
- For the E-profile: Multicheck aptitude test with at least 50 points
- Flair for figures
- You enjoy working on a PC and handling digital media and display good ICT skills
- Enthusiastic about trying new things and quick to grasp new concepts
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in German and French

HMS internship
What you can expect
You’ve completed commercial and secondary school (HMS) and would like to gain an initial insight into the professional world by doing a one-year internship? At our head office in Zurich, you have the opportunity as part of an HMS internship to join our committed team, take on challenging tasks and lay a valuable foundation for your future career path.
What you bring
To be eligible for this long-term internship, you must have completed the HMS training course (HMS model 3+1) at a recognised commercial or business school. On successful completion of the three school years and one year of practical training, you will be awarded the federal certificate of competence (eidgenössische Fähigkeitszeugnis) and the commercial vocational baccalaureate (kaufmännische Berufsmaturität).

First interview
If you’re what we’re looking for and your profile meets our requirements, we will invite you for a first interview. We will use the interview as an opportunity to get to know you and introduce you to our training programme.

Half day
If the interview is a success, you’ll be invited to visit Sanitas for half a day, where you’ll have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes, get a first taste of health insurance and meet the head of vocational training.

We also organise taster days at our offices in Aarau, Bern, Winterthur and Zurich, where you have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and it gives us the chance to get to know you as a potential candidate for an apprenticeship. As the number of taster places is limited, we can only consider students from the following schools with a grade point average of at least 4.5 in the main subjects (mathematics, German, French, English): Sekundarschule A, Niveau I (canton Zurich), Sekundarschule / Spez-Sek (canton Bern), Bezirksschule (canton Aargau).
